Create contemporary, low maintenance & easy to manage planting scheme, which will remain attractive throughout all seasons.
Visually interesting planting is achieved by creating enough colour and texture contrasts.
By using a variety of ornamental grasses, the proposed planting provides interest all year round.
Calamagrostis x acutiflora ‘Karl Foerster’ is a wonderful example of an ornamental grass, and can be also used as a screening in a garden.
It grows to about 1.8m and looks good in winter. This grass could be used to create some screening , by incorporating it between shrubs & trees.
Selected flowering herbaceous perennials are long flowering plants, providing interest across all seasons.
It starts from their colour and texture in spring and summer and continues throughout winter, with dried stems and seed heads. This approach, which highlights the importance of change in nature, is visible in many contemporary planting schemes.
project review from the client:
“I moved into a new build with an expanse of raw green turf. Kornelia has transformed this into a colourful and interesting garden - something I could never have achieved. There are shapes and colours and perfumes that provide interest all year round, and the place is bee heaven. Knowing nothing about caring for a garden, I have really appreciated the support and learning Kornelia has proved as part of the development of the garden - equiping me with the skills to care for it, and always there if I have any queries or need help. It has all been a fantastic experience, and the results are beyond what I could have hoped for.”
