a green living wall
brief:
To select, plant and install plants on an existing indoor wooden trellis, that will create an effect of a green living wall.
We created this green, living plant installation for a luxury 5-star hotel in Edinburgh. The planting is situated in one of the hotel’s event spaces.
It is a bright space, with a glass roof, giving the feeling of a conservatory or a botanic garden glasshouse.
All plants selected are indoor plants.
When creating this indoor plant installation, we selected plants with a variety of foliage shapes. It was important to bring different leaf textures and shades of green into the aesthetic of this living wall installation.
Most of the plants selected are trailing plants, like Ivy or Philodendrons.
To make sure that the plants develop properly we provided a maintenance service for this green living wall planting.
This living plant installation brings the feeling of calmness, serenity and
a sense of well-being into the space.
